I ate two of the bratwurst out of that package we got from Costco. I got hungry.

You’re just going to have to find a way to deal with that.

The driver.

Since I’ve been thinking about taking up golf, I figured I should at least buy a driver and start going to a driving range. While I *really* wanted to get the latest version with graphic nanotech and a 460cc head and alien technology for $400, I bought a two-year old Adams Tech driver on sale for $85. Apparently golf clubs don’t age well and have horrible shelf life.

Part of the hazing process for new golfers is making you hit a few dozen balls in this electronic cage. It tracks the path of the ball (alien technology) and displays it throughout the store for everyone to mock you on the way out. My longest drive was 154 yards.

I’ve yet to get to a driving range, but I’m hoping to visit one this weekend. After all, I’ve been feeling way too good about myself lately and making an ass out of myself should bring me down a few pegs.

The Clarendon

The first time I stayed in Phoenix, I couldn’t get a room at a hotel I was familiar with. I was reluctant to try a boutique hotel because I’ve been burned in the past, but I ended up at The Clarendon.

The Clarendon is owned by three guys that I think have a very cool idea about what a hotel could be, and they’re working to make that happen. There isn’t one bad thing I can say about this place. The only shortcoming I was able to find was the lack of laundry service.

However, the evening staff passed my request off to the morning staff to help me find a dry cleaner with same-day service. How often does that happen? The staff was great all around.

The place was also cleaner than most of the hotels I stay in. The towels didn’t have that slightly burned smell that chain hotels have.

If you’re going to Phoenix and want to stay downtown, you should consider The Clarendon.

C is for Cookie

Apparently the Cookie Monster, of Seasame Street fame, is going to start eating things other than cookies. I have a hard time believing that toddlers are fat because of the dietary habits of a blue puppet.

The article states that Mr. Monster (I’m assuming it’s a male character.) will be eating more fruits in upcoming episodes. This is sure to upset the Atkins and Zone freaks. They’ll have to introduce another character that only eats meat, doesn’t bother to work out, and is annoying as hell about being on their particular diet.

I shouldn’t. But I will.

Probably not office safe. Just really vile.
